Platform Participation Policy

Participation standards that keep buyers, sellers, and couriers operating safely and fairly.

Effective date: January 2, 2026

This Platform Participation Policy ("Policy") consolidates and harmonises all participation rules governing the DjeePath Logistix Ltd ("DjeePath", "we", "us") platform. It applies to all categories of participants, including Buyers/Customers, Merchants/Sellers, Courier/Logistics Partners, Credit-enabled Customers, and other stakeholders.

1. Purpose and Scope

This Policy applies to all platform participants and outlines the rules, obligations, and enforcement measures for safe, lawful, and trustworthy participation.

2. General Participation Principles (Applicable to All)

All participants must:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and verifiable information at onboarding and on an ongoing basis.
  • Act in good faith and with commercial integrity.
  • Use the platform solely for lawful and authorised purposes.
  • Comply with applicable Nigerian laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Respect data privacy, confidentiality, and the rights of other participants.

DjeePath reserves the right to impose controls, limits, suspensions, or termination where violations or risk indicators arise.

3. Buyers / Customers Participation Policy

3.1 Applicability

This section applies to any individual or entity that places orders, makes payments, or receives goods through the DjeePath platform ("Buyers" or "Customers").

3.2 Onboarding & Qualification

Buyers must:

  • Provide accurate information, including full name, valid phone number, delivery address, and email address.
  • Maintain an active and reachable phone number for delivery and support communication.
  • Use valid payment methods approved on the platform.
  • Accept DjeePath’s Terms of Service and Data Privacy Notice.

Additional verification may be required for high-value, repeated, or risk-flagged transactions.

3.3 Operating Obligations

Buyers agree to:

  • Place orders in good faith with the intention to receive and pay for goods.
  • Be available, or designate a representative, to receive deliveries at the agreed time and location.
  • Promptly report non-delivery, damage, or discrepancies through official DjeePath channels.
  • Engage honestly in dispute resolution and provide accurate supporting information when requested.

3.4 Prohibited Conduct

Buyers must not:

  • Provide false, misleading, or impersonated identity or delivery information.
  • Place orders without intent to accept delivery or make payment.
  • Abuse dispute, refund, or chargeback mechanisms.
  • Harass merchants, couriers, or DjeePath personnel.
  • Use the platform for illegal, fraudulent, or prohibited transactions.

3.5 Enforcement Measures

Breaches may result in transaction cancellation, account restriction or termination, withholding of refunds pending investigation, and reporting to appropriate authorities where fraudulent intention is alleged or required by law.

4. Merchant / Seller Participation Policy

4.1 Applicability

This section applies to individuals or businesses (merchants or sellers) that list, sell, or advertise goods or services on the platform.

4.2 Onboarding & Qualification

Merchants must:

  • Provide accurate corporate and/or individual identification details.
  • Demonstrate lawful authority to sell listed goods or services.
  • Maintain valid contact details and a settlement account approved by DjeePath.
  • Agree to applicable platform fees, settlement timelines, and escrow procedures.

DjeePath may request business registration documents or enhanced verification at any time.

4.3 Operating Obligations

Merchants agree to:

  • Accurately list goods, including price, description, condition, and delivery timelines.
  • Fulfil confirmed orders promptly.
  • Package goods securely and in line with courier safety standards.
  • Cooperate with dispute resolution and provide evidence when requested.
  • Comply with all applicable consumer protection, product safety, and trade laws.
  • Ensure that listed products are in stock.

4.4 Prohibited Conduct

Merchants must not:

  • Sell unlicensed, counterfeit, prohibited, or illegal items.
  • Misrepresent goods, pricing, or availability.
  • Circumvent DjeePath’s payment or escrow systems.
  • Pursue off-platform settlements that undermine platform protections.
  • Repeatedly fail to fulfil confirmed orders.

4.5 Enforcement Measures

Sanctions may include delayed or withheld settlements, removal of listings, account suspension or termination, and legal or regulatory reporting where required.

5. Courier / Logistics Partner Participation Policy

5.1 Applicability

This section applies to independent couriers, courier companies, and logistics service providers operating on or through the platform ("Courier Partners").

5.2 Onboarding & Qualification

Courier Partners must:

  • Hold all licences or authorisations required to operate logistics services.
  • Provide valid identification, contact details, and operational documentation.
  • Meet DjeePath’s minimum safety, reliability, and service standards.
  • Execute a Courier Partnership Agreement or SLA with DjeePath.

5.3 Operating Obligations

Courier Partners agree to:

  • Handle goods with due care and professionalism.
  • Deliver within agreed timelines where reasonably possible.
  • Maintain confidentiality of buyer and merchant data.
  • Update delivery status accurately and promptly.
  • Cooperate fully with investigations, claims, and dispute resolution processes.

5.4 Prohibited Conduct

Courier Partners must not:

  • Operate without valid authorisation.
  • Tamper with, open, substitute, or misuse goods.
  • Misrepresent delivery status or outcomes.
  • Use platform data for unauthorised purposes.
  • Engage in unsafe, abusive, or illegal conduct.

5.5 Enforcement Measures

Breaches may lead to suspension or termination, withholding of payments pending investigation, recovery of losses, indemnification claims, and regulatory reporting.

6. Escrow & Payment Management Policy

6.1 Purpose

DjeePath may hold funds temporarily to protect Buyers, Merchants, and Courier Partners during fulfilment and dispute resolution.

6.2 Operational Framework

  • Buyer payments may be held until delivery confirmation or expiry of a defined no-dispute window.
  • Merchant settlements may be delayed during disputes, claims, or investigations.
  • Funds are released strictly in line with documented platform rules and final dispute outcomes.

6.3 Participant Obligations

All participants agree to respect escrow decisions, provide truthful and timely information, and accept final determinations made under DjeePath procedures.

6.4 Prohibited Conduct

Participants must not manipulate escrow outcomes, pressure staff for off-process releases, or bypass escrow via off-platform arrangements.

7. Credit-Enabled Customer Policy (Where Applicable)

7.1 Eligibility & Onboarding

Credit services are optional and subject to approval. Eligible participants must explicitly opt in, provide accurate assessment information, and meet affordability and risk criteria.

7.2 Operating Obligations

Credit-enabled customers agree to repay amounts due in line with agreed schedules, understand applicable fees and penalties, and communicate early where repayment challenges arise.

7.3 Prohibited Conduct

Credit customers must not misrepresent information, attempt to evade repayment, or abuse complaints or regulatory processes.

7.4 Enforcement Measures

Defaults or abuse may result in suspension of platform privileges, lawful recovery actions, and reporting to credit bureaus or regulators.

8. Dispute Resolution

Disputes are first handled through DjeePath’s internal resolution mechanisms. Unresolved matters may be escalated to mediation or arbitration in Nigeria in accordance with the Arbitration and Mediation Act, 2023. Participants agree not to pursue reputational attacks while disputes are ongoing.

9. Policy Review & Amendment

DjeePath reserves the right to amend this Policy to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Continued platform use constitutes acceptance of any updated version.
